Magister Audit Services
Privacy policy
The following is intended to explain the rules arising from the European Regulation governing the processing and protection of personal data (EU Regulation 2016/679, hereinafter the ‘Regulation’).
General data protection regulation
Magister Adit Services SàRL (‘MAGISTER’) collects and processes your personal data, and under the Regulation we must define what personal data we collect and use, for what purposes such data is collected and processed, and to whom your personal data may be transferred.
We may change this privacy policy in the future. These changes will be available on our website, and we will inform you of them as far as possible.
MAGISTER manages your personal data with confidentiality and in compliance with the applicable regulations in force. MAGISTER may use information of a personal nature that you communicate to it either with your consent or in the following cases:
- if a contract exists and the processing of your data is necessary for its performance;
- the processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the controller (MAGISTER ) or those of a third party, unless there is an overriding reason to protect the individual’s personal data;
- in the event of a legal obligation imposing specific processing;
- where there is a vital interest at stake and the processing of your data is required to protect the life of an individual;
- where the processing is necessary for us to perform a task in the public interest or for official functions insofar as the task or function has a clear legal basis.
MAGISTER will therefore not disclose your personal information without your permission, unless such disclosure is required by Regulation or legal process.
Whenever the processing of your data is based on consent, you will be able to withdraw this consent at any time without this affecting the service provided, unless the data for which your consent was required is necessary for the service to be provided. Similarly, the withdrawal of your consent will not affect the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data carried out prior to the withdrawal of your consent.
MAGISTER may communicate your personal data to third parties such as the administration, the bank or a notary (without this list being exhaustive), and will then ensure that there are guarantees – in compliance with the Regulation – to ensure the protection of your personal data.
Your personal data will be kept for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, plus any applicable legal time limits. Your data will be deleted within a maximum of 6 months after the longer of these two periods. This period of 6 months is the one we need for the intra-annual review of the deadlines and the implementation of the deletion of the data held.
You have the right to request a copy of the personal information held about you by MAGISTER, and in the event that you discover any errors or inaccuracies, you may have them corrected by simple reasoned request. You also have the right to ask MAGISTER in its capacity as data controller to erase your personal data (‘Right to be forgotten’), provided that your personal data does not need to remain in MAGISTER’s files for legal reasons or as provided for in the Regulations.
You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data, provided that the processing of your personal data to which you wish to object is not required by law or provided for in the Regulation.
If you become aware of a breach by us, you have the right to contact the data protection authority directly, i.e. the Commission Nationale pour la Protection des Données (CNPD), to inform them of your complaint. The link is as follows:
